Reading While Running: My New Kick

21 miles this morning. Ran to Wal-mart and back. Felt good, and I can't believe how audio books make the miles fly by for me. I downloaded "King Solomon's Mine" by H. Rider Haggard and got 9 chapters into it. Librivox.org has more than enough classics to keep me entertained for many long runs to come.

The run took me 4:14, but that is including 2 pit stops at passing porta-johns. After getting home, I ate some oatmeal, and we scooted off to do some yard saleing. Our favorite thing to do. Seaside had their mega-yard-sale today. I got a bag of books, a few hanging pictures, one of which is of a cowboy. I love the old West. My love for it has be reignited since reading Zane Grey.

And I found a pair Asics Gel shoes. I know that goes against the "barefoot-ness" of this blog, but there are times that I need shoes for certian things. Like when my wife wants me to look like a normal guy when around certain people. Like last year when we went to Disney World for Thanksgiving.

So that's it. A good day. Nice weather, nice run, good deals at the yard-sales.
