Bearing the Vibram Name

So I have been in contact with the kind folks at Vibram Five Fingers and I'll be flashing their logo on a custom jersey that'll be printed. I will wear it at some upcoming marathons.

Why bear the name of the shoe on a jersey? I am not a fast runner, so it's a far cry from a pro athlete promoting a mega-shoe by his or her magnificent performance.

Well, people at races are always asking about the shoes, so I'll gladly be the billboard. Also, I sometimes feel like a hypocrite wearing New Balance, or Nike gear, when I don't even wear their shoes.

My honest opinion is that barefoot running needs all the exposure it can get from people who can lend credibility to its benefits. As long as people keep having knee problems, shin splints, and other shoe related injuries, they need to keep hearing about running bare.

Most average Joe's are scared of begining a barefoot running program because of the callous issue. The Vibe's are a good way around this.

I'll do average at a handful of the season's marathons, but hopefully I'll be drawing some attention to the shoes.
